Fearless by Max Lucado

Fearless by Max Lucado is a wonderful encouragement in a day and time when fear seems to be on the rise. Lucado tackles fear head on in his book, from fear of not mattering and fear of disappointing God to the fear of life's final moments, he encourages us to face fear with faith. Lucado points out that Jesus made one statement more than any other, "Don't be afraid." This is what Lucado wants us to learn, how to not be afraid in the face of fear.
I personally found Fearless to be a wonderful read in typical Max Lucado fashion. It is full of illustrations and stories that keep you glued to the page all the while encouraging you to live a "fearless" life. Lucado points out, "Fear never wrote a symphony or poem, negotiated a peace treaty, or cured a disease. Fear never pulled a family out of poverty or a country out of bigotry. Fear never saved a marriage or a business. Courage did that. Faith did that. People who refused to consult or cower to their timidities did that. But fear itself? Fear herds us into a prison and slams the doors.
Wouldn't it be great to walk out?"
And this is what Lucado offers to his readers. A chance to walk out and live without fear. I would highly recommend Fearless to anyone.

Online Sermons

If you've been looking for some anointed sermons online may I recommend a website to you. It is the site of Masters Commission in North Carolina and has some incredible messages from students and pastors there. If you are not familiar with Master's Commission it is a ministry and discipleship program for college age students. The students are engulfed in prayer, the Word of God and ministry.
If you would like to find out more or listen to the messages go to www.ncmconline.com and click on the media page.
You can also find their podcast at iTunes by searching NC Masters Commission.
A second site I would recommend is 1assembly.org
There you will find sermons from First Assembly of God in Asheboro, NC
